This is a three shot panorama. It was a lovely clear evening at Kilmore Quay this evening and I could see Hook lighthouse in the distance and just out on the tip of Forlorn point there was a young lady standing using her camera phone. I thought it would be interesting to combine all that I could see and took three straight shots and combined them in photoshop. No trick photography, I’m not Steven Spielberg. Photoshop is the modern day darkroom.
Kilmore Quay taken on a flight from Waterford to Wexford during the long hot summer of 2013. I might have posted this one before, but it is definitely worth a revisit. A really lovely place and this image really shows the place at it’s best. Mounted and framed at your request at very reasonable prices.
The ‘Vigil Sculpture’ by Ciaran O’ Brien located near Forlorn Point and overlooking the area aptly named “The Graveyard Of A Thousand Ships” is part of the ‘memorial garden’ dedicated to those lost at sea. The sculpture depicts a couple doing a vigil…waiting..and looking out to sea…waiting for news of their family and loved ones who are at sea and not returned.

Also in the Memorial Garden is this anchor and with the sun setting on he horizon it makes a very beautiful image.
