Ashleigh Falls

This is ‘Ashleigh Falls’ near Leenane (Leenaun) Co Galway. This location was used in the fight and death scene in the movie ‘The Field’ starring Richard Harris, Sean Bean and Tom Berringer in this particular scene.It also starred John Hurt and Brenda Fricker. Directed by Jim Sheridan and of course based on a play by John B Keane. Lots of tourists stopping to view them but some of the US tourists thought the rugged path was too much for them to trek. Not this Paddy though 🙂
