This image was taken in November 2010. I was lucky enough to be able to drive to Johnstown Castle in such snowey conditions. I was after a footprint-less landscape and I met the keeper as he was about to open up the gates. I particularly like this scene of Johnstown in the ‘virgin snow’
The reason I am posting the image now is, I had entered it in the Lions Club Christmas card competition and I got the word today that it is one of the winners…and needless to say I’m quite chuffed!
I used a Canon 50D with a focal length of 16mm, an f stop of 22 at 1/25th of a second and ISO 250
