Ghost Train

This is perhaps one of the first skill with a camera that any photographer would like to master.

This is an image of  Wexford from the quayfront taken at 21.08 hrs. The 9pm train is trundling down the quay on it’s way to Rosslare for it’s final destination of the day. I used an f/stop of 18 to gain a good depth of field and set a 15 second shutter speed which made the moving train appear as streaks of light. It is also essential to use a tripod for images like this.

It’s a very effective technique and adds to an image, especially waterfalls where the water appears like ‘cotton candy’
